This Reflections piece has been created on canvas, street art walls, silk screen prints, NFTs and now these foil editions. Inspired by all of the previous variations of this piece, I have created 13 different pieces in the lenses like the NFT collection, in 4 different shiny foil colours that play on popular colours from previous works with red, pink, gold and rainbow.
Edvard Munch's Scream painting was created 130 years ago and is still considered one of the most iconic pieces of art today. It has taken on different meanings over time and is now viewed as a symbol of modern day angst in society but as Munch described it, was inspired by the enormous, infinite scream of nature. Mental health played an important factor in Munch's life and the rawness and emotion in his work can clearly show his release of emotion through his art. Maybe art was a form of therapy for him and The Scream is a symbol of creative therapy in action. Learn more about art therapy at Art Is The Cure.
